Last updated: June 2026

PDFLayerExtract is operated by BEINDESIGN.

This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, how long we keep it, and what choices you have when using pdflayerextract.com and app.pdflayerextract.com.

If you have any questions, contact us at:

contact@pdflayerextract.com

1. What PDFLayerExtract does

PDFLayerExtract lets users upload PDF files, preview detected PDF layers, and optionally purchase a processed ZIP package containing separated PDF layer files and an Illustrator import workflow.

The service is designed for production, prepress, print, packaging, screen-print and design workflows.

2. Information we collect

We may collect the following information when you use the service:

Uploaded PDF files

When you upload a PDF, the file is processed automatically so we can detect pages, layers, preview information and generate a package if you choose to pay for processing.

Your PDF may contain business, design, technical, client or production information. You are responsible for ensuring that you have the right to upload and process the file.

Email address

We collect your email address when it is needed for payment, receipt, support, or sending access to a temporary download link.

Payment information

Payments are handled by Paddle. We do not store your full card number or full payment credentials on our servers. Paddle may collect and process payment, billing, tax, fraud-prevention and transaction information according to its own policies.

Technical data

Like most websites and applications, we may collect technical information such as IP address, browser type, device information, timestamps, error logs, upload status, processing status and security logs.

This data is used to operate, protect, debug and improve the service.

Support communication

If you contact us by email, we may keep your message, email address and related support information so we can respond and resolve the issue.

3. How we use your information

We use the information we collect to:

  • analyze uploaded PDF files;

  • generate previews and processing results;

  • create and deliver ZIP packages;

  • provide temporary download access;

  • process payments through Paddle;

  • send receipts, access links and support replies;

  • prevent abuse, spam, fraud and misuse;

  • diagnose bugs and improve the service;

  • comply with legal, accounting or security obligations.

We do not sell your personal data.

4. File storage and retention

PDFLayerExtract is built around short-term file handling.

Unpaid preview files are intended to be kept only temporarily and are deleted after approximately 1 hour.

Paid processed packages and temporary download links are intended to remain available for approximately 24 hours after successful payment.

After that period, files may be deleted automatically and may no longer be recoverable.

Some technical logs, transaction references, support messages or payment-related records may be kept longer where necessary for security, accounting, fraud prevention, dispute handling or legal compliance.

5. Who we share data with

We only share information with service providers where necessary to operate PDFLayerExtract.

This may include:

  • hosting and server infrastructure providers;

  • file storage providers;

  • payment provider Paddle;

  • email delivery provider Resend;

  • DNS, security and performance providers such as Cloudflare;

  • analytics or monitoring tools, if enabled;

  • legal or regulatory authorities, if required by law.

These providers may process data according to their own privacy policies and contractual obligations.

6. Payment provider

Purchases are processed by Paddle.

When you make a payment, Paddle may process your payment details, billing information, tax information, fraud-prevention data and transaction records. PDFLayerExtract receives only the payment confirmation and the information needed to unlock and deliver the purchased package.

For payment-specific privacy information, please refer to Paddle’s own privacy and buyer policies.

7. Cookies and similar technologies

PDFLayerExtract uses essential cookies and similar technologies required for basic website functionality, security, user preferences, cookie consent management, and service operation.

We may also use analytics cookies, including Google Analytics, to understand how visitors use our website, which pages are visited, and how the service can be improved. Analytics data is used in aggregated form and does not allow us to identify individual users directly.

You can accept or reject non-essential cookies through the cookie banner shown on the website. You can also change or withdraw your consent through the cookie settings option, where available.

PDFLayerExtract does not currently use advertising cookies or unnecessary advertising tracking technologies.

8. Comments and public accounts

PDFLayerExtract is not intended to operate as a public comment platform.

If comments are disabled, we do not intentionally collect public comment data through the website.

If comments or user accounts are enabled in the future, this Privacy Policy should be updated before those features are used.

9. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect uploaded files and personal information.

However, no online system is completely secure. You should not upload files that you are not allowed to process or files containing sensitive information unless you are comfortable using an online processing service.

10. International processing

PDFLayerExtract and its service providers may process data in different countries depending on hosting, infrastructure, payment, storage and email systems.

By using the service, you understand that your data may be processed outside your country of residence where necessary to provide the service.

11. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction or export of personal data we hold about you.

You may also have the right to object to certain processing or to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.

To make a request, contact:

contact@pdflayerextract.com

We may need to verify your identity before responding to certain requests.

12. Deleting uploaded files

Because PDF files and processed ZIP packages are temporary by design, they are normally deleted automatically after the retention periods described above.

If you need urgent deletion before the automatic deletion window, contact us at:

contact@pdflayerextract.com

We will try to help where technically possible.

13. Children

PDFLayerExtract is not intended for children. The service is intended for professional, business, design, print and production use.

14. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when the service, infrastructure, payment flow or legal requirements change.

The updated version will be posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date.
