Terms of Service

Last updated: June 2026

These Terms of Service govern your use of PDFLayerExtract, available at pdflayerextract.com and app.pdflayerextract.com.

PDFLayerExtract is operated by BEINDESIGN.

By using PDFLayerExtract, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

For questions, contact:

contact@pdflayerextract.com

1. What PDFLayerExtract does

PDFLayerExtract is an online PDF analysis and processing service.

The service allows users to upload PDF files, inspect detected layers and pages, and optionally purchase a processed ZIP package containing separated PDF layer files and an Illustrator-ready import workflow.

PDFLayerExtract is intended for design, prepress, print, packaging, screen-print, production and related professional workflows.

2. Preview-first workflow

PDFLayerExtract is built around a preview-first workflow.

You may upload a PDF and review the detected structure before payment. The preview helps you decide whether the file is worth processing.

Payment is requested only after the analysis step presents the available package and price.

3. Your account and email

You may be asked to provide an email address for payment, receipt, support, and temporary download access.

You are responsible for providing a correct email address. If you provide an incorrect email address, we may not be able to deliver the access link or support the transaction unless you provide enough information to verify it.

4. Payments

Payments are processed by Paddle.

PDFLayerExtract does not store your full card number or full payment credentials.

After payment is confirmed, PDFLayerExtract will attempt to generate and deliver the final ZIP package.

Prices may depend on the file size, page count, detected structure, processing complexity or other file-specific factors.

5. Digital delivery

PDFLayerExtract provides a digital processing service.

After payment, the processed ZIP package is made available for download in the browser and may also be accessible through a temporary email access link.

Paid download access is intended to remain available for approximately 24 hours after payment.

PDFLayerExtract is not a permanent file storage service.

6. File retention

Unpaid preview files are intended to be deleted after approximately 1 hour.

Paid processed packages are intended to remain available for approximately 24 hours after successful payment.

After these periods, files may be deleted automatically and may no longer be recoverable.

7. Your upload rights

By uploading a PDF, you confirm that you have the legal right, permission, license or authority to upload and process that file.

You must not upload files that you are not authorized to process.

You are responsible for respecting copyright, trademarks, confidentiality, client agreements, trade secrets, privacy obligations and any other applicable rights or restrictions.

8. Limited processing permission

When you upload a PDF, you grant PDFLayerExtract a limited permission to store, analyze, preview, process and deliver the file only as needed to provide the service.

This includes detecting PDF structure, generating previews, creating the final ZIP package, providing temporary download access, troubleshooting errors and responding to support requests.

We do not claim ownership of your uploaded files.

9. Output limitations

PDFLayerExtract works with the structure available inside the uploaded PDF.

The service may detect and separate certain PDF layer, page or output elements, but results depend on how the PDF was created, exported and structured.

PDFLayerExtract does not guarantee:

  • perfect native source-file reconstruction;

  • full Illustrator .ai reconstruction;

  • full editability of every object;

  • preservation of every effect, transparency, font, image or color setting;

  • that the output is production-ready without review;

  • that every PDF will contain usable layer information.

You must inspect the preview and review the final output before using it.

10. Professional review required

You are responsible for checking the processed files before using them for print, packaging, screen-printing, manufacturing, client delivery or any production workflow.

PDFLayerExtract does not replace professional prepress review, proofing, production approval or technical quality control.

11. Refunds

Refunds are handled according to our Refund Policy.

Because PDFLayerExtract provides digital processing and preview-first purchase decisions, refunds are generally limited to technical delivery failures, duplicate charges, or processing errors caused by our system.

Please review the Refund Policy before purchasing.

12. Prohibited use

You must not use PDFLayerExtract to:

  • upload files you are not authorized to process;

  • infringe copyright, trademark, confidentiality, privacy or contractual rights;

  • upload illegal, harmful, malicious or abusive content;

  • attempt to access, test, disrupt or damage the service or infrastructure;

  • bypass payment, security, rate limits or file restrictions;

  • reverse engineer or abuse the service;

  • use automated upload or scraping tools without permission;

  • use the service in a way that may harm PDFLayerExtract, BEINDESIGN, other users or third parties.

We may block, delete, refuse or limit access if we believe the service is being misused.

13. Availability

We try to keep PDFLayerExtract available and functional, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access.

The service may be unavailable because of maintenance, hosting issues, payment provider issues, infrastructure problems, software errors or events outside our control.

14. Changes to the service

We may update, change, suspend or discontinue parts of PDFLayerExtract at any time.

This may include changes to pricing, file limits, package structure, retention windows, processing logic, preview behavior or supported PDF types.

15. No warranty

PDFLayerExtract is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.

We do not guarantee that the service will meet every requirement, process every PDF successfully, detect every layer, produce perfect output or be suitable for every production use case.

16. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, PDFLayerExtract and BEINDESIGN are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special or business losses, including lost profits, lost production time, missed deadlines, print errors, client claims, data loss or costs of replacement services.

Your responsibility is to review the preview and final output before use.

Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount paid for the specific PDF processing transaction that caused the issue.

17. Third-party services

PDFLayerExtract may rely on third-party services for hosting, storage, payment processing, email delivery, security, DNS, analytics or monitoring.

These providers may have their own terms and policies.

PDFLayerExtract is not responsible for third-party service interruptions, payment provider issues, email delivery delays or infrastructure problems outside our direct control.

18. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store and delete information.

By using PDFLayerExtract, you also agree to the data practices described in the Privacy Policy.

For support, delivery issues, refund review or legal questions, contact:

20. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms when the service, business model, legal requirements, infrastructure or payment flow changes.

The updated version will be posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date.

Continued use of PDFLayerExtract after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
